MACHINE OPERATOR(Injection Molding Department)

General Job Description:

Operate injection molding machines that form plastic products.  Remove finished plastic products from molds and degate product from plastic runner system when necessary by clipping, cutting or other similar method requiring the use of scissors, clippers, knife or other hand tools.  Inspect finished molded product for surface defects. Count and pack product in bags and boxes.  Lift and convey products and materials by hand or using hand truck.  May weigh and record information on production sheets.  Clean work area, machines, and equipment using brooms (mops), rags, and cleaning compounds.  Prepare and staple boxes and heat seal plastic bags.  Inventory materials.  Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must maintain a high degree of accuracy.
  2. Must easily comprehend and follow written and verbal directions.
  3. Must have good eyesight.
  4. Must have good eye and hand/finger coordination.
  5. Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds.
  6. Must maintain dependable attendance.
  7. Must be 18 years old.
